This is the first race from the Trails to Taps Series. 

We have created the Trails To Taps Series as a way to provide fun  events that highlight

the great trails and Martin House Brewery. This series will grow to have 5-6 races a year, monthly runs and we will add other disciplines as well. We think one of the best views in fort worth is out the back porch of Martin House Brewing. 

COURSE DESCRIPTION

The two mile loop is on the trinity river trails. The trail is pavement BUT you can run along side it in the grass if your prefer that or change it up as you wish. 

The course will be wheeled to exactly 2 miles for the loop.

48h Race, 1:00 pm start Friday

24h Race 1:00 pm start Saturday

RELAY TEAMS

All the relay teams are based on 4 member for the 48hr and 24hr.

Each member must complete the 2 mile loop but the order of the loops

and how many people run are up to the team. 

CUTOFFS

All runners that START there loop by the end can complete the loop. 

So if you start the loop at 12:58 on sunday you can complete the loop.

1:30 is cutoff. any loop NOT finished within this time will not count. 

DROP DOWNS AND DISTANCE CHANGES

Once your race begins that is the distance you must finish to receive a medal for that distance. There is no dropping of distances during the race and you will be listed as a DNF no matter what the reason. 

Online Distance Changes Until Wednesday of Race Week. All other changes must be in person and may not be changed due to sold out distances.

Log into your account.

Under your name and “Account Into” towards the upper right of the screen select “Registration History”

On the "name of this race" , to the right of the date select “Edit”

Under “Switch Event?” select distance to change

Select “Checkout” to go through the process of paying the additional $ or changing lower. There will be a small UltraSignup fee if moving up in distance. During this process you will be dropping from the old distance, so you will need to immediately finish the checkout process to be added back into the the new distance.

AID STATIONS

The aid station will be at the start/finish of the 2 mile loop.

WHAT'S ON THE TABLE

All aid stations are FULL AID STATIONS and will be full stocked with Texas Style goodies.

Drinks - Gatorade, Water, and Electrolyte Mix

Sodas - Coke, Ginger ale, and maybe some orange as well.

Sweets - Cookies, Candy, Peanut Butter, Nutella

Salty - Pringles, Trail Mix, Chips

PB&Js, Bean burrito rolls, fruit (bananas, oranges, seasonal fruits)

Medical - bandages, vasoline, band aids, etc. ( NO NSAIDS e.g. ibuprofen) , Feminine Care Products

PM Foods- Quesadillas, Soups, Ramen, Potatoes, and fun concoctions

We will have everything you need at our aid stations and we usually throw in something to make it fun.
We have had sheet cake, pies, watermelon, etc… You never know what the surprise will be!

CUPLESS RACING

We DO NOT have cups at the aid stations for water. We do our best to limit the footprint we leave at races and on the trails, so we will not have any cups for you. We encourage all of our runners to have reusable cups, bottles, and hydration packs to carry water in.

DROP BAGS

There will be a large area with a tarp at the main aid station for drop bags.

No pacers 

Crew MUST crew outside of the aid station.

​There is plenty of space to the right to set up tents/canopies and crew areas.

Plenty of space to the right as well for chairs/canopies. 

Also cars will be parked close enough to car crew as well. 

 

PARKING

There will be some parking right at the start/finish area and the the rest will be about 30 yards

away on 120 S Sylvania. But plenty of space for everyone to park.

There are about 20 different hotels within 3 miles of the site location.

VOLUNTEERING

With any race comes a small army that works behind the scenes to make it all happen. We think volunteers are the MOST important part of any race and we do our best to provide them with the best as well. If you have never been on the other side of the table, give it a shot! 

Volunteer Shifts Range from 4-8 hours depending on the event.

All of our volunteers will receive:

Free park entry, an area to camp,  race merchandise, and a provided meal on race day.

In Addition to this:

*If you volunteer for (1) Shift at any race you will get 50% off registration for any of our events in the future.
